Mother's Day Classic 2012

On Sunday 13 May, thousands of Canberrans descended upon the shores of Lake Burley Griffin to partake in one of Australia's largest charity events, the Mother's Day Classic 2012.

As Canberra partners of the event, Belconnen Fresh Food Markets were pleased to be involved in the day and were excited to have our wonderful mascots Scarlet (cherry) and Broc (broccoli) there on the day to entertain the kids and ramp up the crowd.

Kids were lucky enough to score some great BFFM enviro bags with activity books, magazines, pencils and stickers as a gift giveaway on the day.

The ACT has one of the highest rates of breast cancer across the nation, so this was a fantastic opportunity to remember the unfortunate men and women we have lost, and help to raise awareness for future research and recovery.
