Braving the winter cold

Last night, Director of the Belconnen Fresh Food Markets, Maria Efkarpidis donned her beanie, sleeping bag and cardboard pieces and braved Canberra's freezing temperatures with 150 other local CEO's. 

As a group raising more than $369,885 in Canberra alone, proceeds will go towards Vinnie's services for the homeless in Canberra.

"This was a wonderful opportunity for the Canberra community to get behind such an important cause, and last night was a very real reminder of just how tough it can be, and we were only there for one night".

Through the strong winds, rain and below zero temperatures, Maria made a valuable contribution to Vinnie's in pushing to raise awareness for this cause. In total, the CEO Sleepout raised upwards of $4.7 million as a result of national fundraising. Amazing work!
